The Toshiba L355D has a design that we know very well, has very little from the earlier P200 Series notebook. The notebook body fell across the board, but without the comparison between the different images model, it would be difficult to tell the difference. The peak height at the foot remained very similar, but the notebook is thinner profile in the front and rear. The biggest change is the hinge design, which went from a “hidden” design to a double hinge setup. The rest of the notebook looks fairly untouched, with the same multimedia controls sloping palmrest, and near identical look when closed. The final visual change that many will notice is the lack of high-gloss finish on the screen door, which was replaced with a silver-metallic finish mat. Users who are slightly from scratching and smudged fingerprints can now celebrate.

Build quality has remained the same, with a solid impression and only a small amount of flex in the palm rest and screen cover. The body as a whole feels very durable, with a few squeaks or rattles when picked up and carried around. The keyboard has very good support, with little flex clear when you press notes on the keys. The display will remain for the most waves off the LCD screen, but with a solid jab at the rear of the round Covers some distortions. The newer matte painting seems to be much better with the biggest difference, no fine scratches after a trip in my backpack.

The display on the L350 series Toshiba notebooks is of average quality, even with background lighting and minimal light bleeding. Colors are vivid display in the head, but to wash out or invert in steep angle. Horizontal angle of 45 degrees, before the colors begin to wash out or smoke. Vertical angle is not as happy, inverting quickly after about 20 degrees freedom of movement.
