The IdeaPad Y510 is visually unique from the former notebooks from Lenovo released. Make sure that the basic structure laptop remains the same, but the angled hinge design, seamless glossy display, LED-backlit media buttons, and a complete lack of a red stick pointing device / touchpoint tell you this is not a ThinkPad we are looking here.
In this respect, I think it’s safe to say, Lenovo engineers have a good job with the Y510. Unlike almost all other notebook manufacturers is that the imitation of designs laptop HP, Lenovo chose a matte black chassis design that “some” ways to pay for the ThinkPad line. The innovation on display cover design comes from the angled hinge and the textured weave patterns in the plastic lid. In fact, if your first touch the lid on the Y510 is easy to think you rough touch screen instead of plastic.
