According to the resource DigiTimes, the company Asustek Computer has decided to offer for mini-notebooks Eee PC new generation of WiMAX-adapter as an option, and only for contract users. Whereas previously, back in January, the head company reported that WiMAX will be for new Eee PC standard feature.

Apparently, Asustek leadership does not consider WiMAX market sufficiently developed by mid-2008. Therefore, support for this technology will be provided mainly in 14.1 and 15.4 - inch laptops company intended for sale in the U.S. market. Until the end of the year will be issued laptops VX2, U6 and V1 with the support of WiMAX, informs DigiTimes.
